CSLN Recognizes Excellence at the 2012 Partnership Awards

CSLN Recognizes Excellence at the 2012 Partnership Awards

The CSLN Awards took place on Thursday, May 31st at the Rhode Island Office of Child Support Services Conference. Ms. Sharon A. Santilli, IV-D Director of Rhode Island Child Support Services and Administrator of the Child Support Lien Network, proudly presented the CSLN Partnership Awards to three highly deserving recipients.

Ms. Joan Gentile, Vice President and Assistant General Council with The Hartford Insurance Company, received the CSLN Partnership Award for an insurance company. Ms. Gentile acknowledged CSLN as an invaluable resource when deciding how to respond to child support lien mandates. She highlighted the public/private partnership and said, "I have admired the network's commitment to continuously look for ways to make the match process more efficient, by partnering with ISO, and accurate, through their quality assurance process. Significantly, this QA process effectively helps the private and public entities involved to focus energy and attention on appropriate matches." CSLN is honored to work with The Hartford, which was recently named one of the World's Most Ethical companies by the Ethisphere Institute, and looks forward to continuing the partnership for years to come.

Mr. Robert Jones, Deputy Director of Operations with the California Department of Child Support Services accepted the CSLN Partnership Award for a state member. Joined by fellow staff members in the Los Angeles and Sacramento offices, Mr. Jones accepted the CSLN Award via a live webcast. He highlighted the improvements California has made to its process since joining CSLN in 2002, which have resulted in increasing collections by an additional $5 million in recent years. Thanks to automating their income withholding orders and taking advantage of all the services CSLN has to offer, California has been able to issue more than 14,000 IWO's. We applaud California's work in the child support community and appreciate Mr. Jones and his staff for taking the time to join the award ceremony.

Ms. Anita Richards of Liberty Mutual received the John F. Murphy Memorial Award. This award honors an individual with an uncommon and tireless commitment to the CSLN Program and the partners it serves. Ms. Richards focused on the fact that CSLN has a very real and positive effect on children and families. She remarked that while only playing a small role in the network, she is honored to help make families more secure. Liberty Mutual has certainly been working for the kids, as they are one of the top insurance companies within CSLN and consistently contribute a significant volume of matches to the program.

The Child Support Lien Network is privileged to work with these organizations and individuals to increase child support collections for its member states. We look forward to strengthening this collaborative effort and improving the success of the program into the future to assist our nation's children and families in receiving the financial support they deserve.

Congratulations and thank you to the recipients of the 2012 CSLN Partnership Awards!
